Volunteer Puppy Raiser

MONICA MESSINA

In 2006, I met WAGS Puppy Raiser, Leslie Frank-Taylor and her WAGS puppy in training, Carly, and started asking questions.  Volunteering for WAGS was actually a compromise with my husband.  The kids and I had wanted a dog, but because we sometimes travel to Italy (for work and family) my husband was worried about what we would do with our dog when we traveled.  I was looking for a loophole so that we could have a dog, at least temporarily.  When I heard about WAGS, I was also inspired that we could be doing something that would enrich both our lives and a client's.  I have worked with Enzo and now Flash.  My favorite experiences with WAGS were going to the Annual Graduation Picnic and the Fall Fundraiser and actually seeing some of the dogs in action with clients.
