Hero

The decision to bring a dog into our family was made very carefully.  With three kids we already felt like we had enough to take care of.  In addition, our five year old was terrified of dogs, big and little.  In the end we decided it was important for the kids to have a pet while they were growing up and thought it would be nice to have someone in the house who would always want to go for a walk.  However, we were not up to the task of raising and training a puppy.  We hoped a WAGS adoption would enable us to adopt an older, trained dog.

Hero was the perfect fit for our family.  Our five year old was motivated though she was afraid of him at first.  Her fears dissolved completely within about two days.  She can now enjoy other dogs as well.  Our active family has even had a little more activity this summer, something we can all use more of.  Our whole family enjoys watching Hero as he enjoys life.  He exhibits so much exuberance for everything he does.  Taking him out to run around with the kids when they are playing or dashing around at the dog park, playing fetch, and swimming has been fun for all of us.  We also enjoy watching others outside our family interact with him.  They always say what we are always thinking, “What a great dog!”
